My name is Addie Rapier. I was born into a Christian family on February 26, 1988. My mother led me to the Lord when I was four years old. I remember kneeling beside my bed, asking Jesus to forgive me and come into my heart. I can still remember the peace that came to my heart afterwards as I realized I was now a child of God and would never have to worry again about where I would spend eternity.
My parents homeschooled me as a child, and every year in school we would study a different country. We would read missionary stories and make a scrapbook for each country by gluing pictures cut from magazines. One day when I was in the first grade, I saw a picture of a little boy in India worshipping an idol he had made out of mud. I felt an overwhelming desire to tell him and other children in India about Jesus, a desire that never went away. Ever since then I have known without a doubt that God wanted me to serve Him as a missionary to India.
In 2009 I graduated from West Coast Baptist College with a degree in Secondary Education and a minor in Missions. I am currently a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pleasanton, California. Last fall I had the opportunity to take a survey trip to India; I am looking forward to returning to India to serve the Lord with the missionaries there.
